The Typhon will run a 5000mAh pack too, but the stock battery tray and recommendations lean toward smaller cells. Both trucks are 3S, so battery costs are equivalent for the same capacity pack. The Tenacity is not listed as waterproof, which is a real disadvantage compared to the Typhon's full waterproof electronics.

Value clearly favors the Typhon 3S. You save a good amount and get a truck that's equally fast, lighter, more agile, and waterproof.
